By using the PDFluent SDK or website, you agree to these terms. If you are entering into this agreement on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.
The PDFluent SDK is published under the GNU AGPLv3 and is complete under it: every feature, no watermark, nothing that expires. These terms govern the alternative — the commercial licences sold at pdfluent.com/sdk/pricing, which remove the AGPL obligation to publish your own corresponding source.
On payment, Innovation Trigger BV grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use, modify and distribute the SDK within the scope of the button you bought, for the term you paid for. Commercial covers one organisation with unlimited developers; each OEM band covers one named product.
Commercial licences are yearly and renew until cancelled. Cancel at any time in the billing portal; the licence runs to the end of the paid term.
Lapsing does not break anything: no release stops working, nothing already shipped is affected, and no check in the software reads this agreement. What ends is the right to ship further releases under these terms; from then on the AGPL applies, with its source obligation.
Licences bought before 6 September 2026 were perpetual for the versions they named and remain so. Nothing here withdraws or replaces them.
If your customers pay you for PDF functionality that PDFluent provides — a conversion API, a PDF/A service, an OCR service, hosted PDF tooling — that is OEM, not Commercial. Building PDF handling into your own product is Commercial; selling PDF handling to your customers is OEM.
The OEM Startup price is granted on the buyer's declaration at checkout that the organisation's revenue is below EUR 1,000,000. Once it is not, the OEM price applies from the next renewal.

There is no restriction on reverse engineering, on deployment without network access, or on removing branding: the source is published, nothing contacts a server, and the attribution requirement was withdrawn with the move to AGPL-3.0-only.
A Stripe order confirmation and a licence document naming the licensee, the button, the product where one applies, and the term. Together they are the licence. No licence file, key or activation exists on any channel, and no code in the SDK reads one.
The PDFluent SDK and all associated documentation, code, and materials remain the intellectual property of Innovation Trigger BV. Your licence does not transfer ownership. Components that are forks of third-party open source remain under their own licences, as recorded in NOTICE.
All prices are in EUR, exclusive of VAT. Payment, invoicing and VAT are handled by Stripe at checkout and in the billing portal. A failed renewal ends the term under section 3; it does not disable anything.
Cancel at any time in the billing portal. A cancelled subscription runs to the end of the paid term and is not renewed. Statutory rights of withdrawal apply where they apply; for anything else, write to sales@pdfluent.com.
A licence grants rights to the software; it is not a support contract. Support is the public issue tracker and best effort by e-mail. Priority support — a reply within one working day — is a separate yearly subscription and is the only response time that is promised anywhere.
The SDK is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Innovation Trigger BV shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, whether incurred directly or indirectly. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the SDK in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may terminate your licence if you breach these terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the SDK and delete all copies. Your perpetual rights survive termination only if termination is due to non-renewal (not breach).
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes shall be resolved by the competent courts in the Netherlands.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email to active licence holders at least 30 days before taking effect.
